Biography: 

Joanne Howard joined the Stuart School of Business as Industry Assistant Professor in the Public Administration program in August 2015. Dr. Howard has extensive experience in nonprofit management, program evaluation and fundraising.

She served as the Director of Administrative Services for the Office of Development at The University of Chicago; and for the Northwestern University School of Law. She served as the Director of Professional Development with the Government Finance Officers Association and most recently, as Senior Consultant for nonprofits and education at the Metro Chicago Information Center (MCIC). She has also worked for the Governor’s Office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has served as a faculty member at Roosevelt University, DePaul University, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Dr. Howard has served on the board of directors of Planned Parenthood Federation of America; Planned Parenthood of Illinois; and the local affiliate of the American Society for Public Administration, and the Hyde Park-Kenwood Community organization.
